Process of Obtaining an Inner Line Permit?

In case you travel with a commercial vehicle or a vehicle that has been registered in someone elses name, you would have to obtain an inner line permit to visit places such as Pangong and Nubra. Here we have defined the process to obtain the inner line permit.

  • Visit the Leh Permit Portal Online and click on the tab with a similar name.
  • Fill in the details as asked.
  • Mention the year of your travel, your name, the state you reside in, and your gender.
  • Fill out the necessary information regarding the Aadhhar Card, Driving license, and Voter ID number.
  • After filling in all the details, a new dialogue box would open up. In here, select Issue Permit Directly.
  • Select the Date of arrival in Leh Town.
  • Once you have filled out the form, go over every detail once again and submit the form after careful inspection.
  • Once you click submit, a new window will appear. This will take you to the next step and let you know if the permit has been registered.
  • After this, select the area for which you require the permit.
  • Select the date of arrival and departure, and select the apply button for a permit.
  • A new window will appear and let you know about the permit.
  • A new printout that informs about the information inserted would read inserted successfully and would appear on the screen.
  • Print out the form and visit the local DC office to get your permit stamped and ready for use.
